Location

Rio Maior is located just 60 minutes from Lisbon in a strategic location. It consists of a valley in the middle of the country, with mountains and lakes, it is close to the sea and has many paths to explore.

We are ready to cater to the most demanding athletes, clubs and teams. We have one of the most modern and multifunctional sports complexes in Europe and we are also perfectly prepared to receive various adapted sports.

Accommodation

The Rio Maior Sports Center has three independent lounges with a total of 48 rooms ready for single, double, triple or quadruple, meeting the specific needs of teams and athletes. In all rooms you will find a telephone, wireless Internet, cable TV, minibar, air conditioning and one or two bathrooms.

You will also find a bar / cafeteria and a restaurant where all athletes can have their daily meals. The menus of the restaurant are drawn up with qualified staff who perform all tasks. We take the specific wishes of each team into account as much as possible, these can be indicated by the team manager when booking.

 

You train and stay at the Olympic training center in Rio Maior.
The Rio Maior Sports Center is the official training center of the Portuguese Football Association.

The center was used as a training site for the 2004 European Football Championships. It also has a 400-meter tartan track with 8 lanes, a 50-meter swimming pool, three training pitches and a stadium field, a medical center and a sports science laboratory .

 

The Rio Maior Sports Center has 4 football training fields. Two fields with a size of 100 x 64 meters and the others with a size of 60 x 70 meters.

One is in synthetic turf and has FIFA "2 Star" (100 x 64 m) certification, the maximum for these types of pitches, which guarantees the quality of the pitch and its construction and maintenance. 2 Star FIFA certification makes these fields suitable for hosting matches from any FIFA event.

Inside the hall is suitable for basketball and volleyball and there is a professional gym. The purpose-built on-site hotel accommodation has a 4-star rating.

 

Health Club

The Sports Center Health Club area has all the requirements for athletes and coaches to enjoy sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

With modern infrastructures, this area of ​​the Sports Center also allows cold water bath (cryotherapy) immersion treatments in 4 specially designed tubs.

We provide athletes and teams with sports medicine, massage and physiotherapy so that they can focus solely on their performance.

We have the latest therapy and recovery technology with high frequency laser, cryotherapy, focal and radial shock wave, ultrasound, vacuum flows, short wave, 12 chamber pressure therapy, we also have two independent recovery zones (with whirlpool baths, saunas, Turkish bath).
